FLOP KOL Leaderboard preview: weekly payouts, 3-step signup

Arthur Hayes previews the Flop Labs KOL Leaderboard: a weekly FLOP payout pool shared by certified work, and a 3-step signup. The demo uses sample data; pool size TBA.

Arthur Hayes posted a sneak peek of the Flop Labs KOL Leaderboard and its onboarding flow on October 15, 2026. Flop Labs reshared it as a "preview of the upcoming KOL leaderboard". The program isn't live yet. Both screenshots are labelled "Provisional · Sample data": an interactive demo with fictional identities and balances, where nothing is sent or saved.

What the leaderboard is

In the first reply, Hayes writes: "See the weekly FLOP payout and where you stand vs. others." The screenshot shows a page under the Participate menu of the FLOP devnet explorer, with three tabs: KOL leaderboard, Join as KOL and My referrals. It describes the leaderboard as "the communities bringing useful work to FLOP".

What the preview shows:

The KOL names and figures in the screenshot (such as "Tensor Garden" and "Mira Compute") are demo data, not real rankings. We don't repeat them as results.

How ranking appears to work

In the demo, KOLs are sorted by certified work and the weekly pool is split in proportion to it. This matches the September plan, which PANews and BlockBeats reported from an earlier Hayes post. Under that plan, each KOL gets a unique referral link, Flop tracks what referred users contribute to FLOP and how much they use the network, and wallets created through a referral link become eligible for periodic FLOP lotteries. Flop Labs hasn't said how "certified work" will be measured.

How to join (as previewed)

"Anyone can join as a KOL and earn FLOP," Hayes writes: "Give us your email, create a wallet, and connect your socials (optional)." The demo signup has three steps:

  1. Verify email with a magic link.
  2. Bind a payout wallet by connecting one and signing to prove you own it.
  3. Verify social handles on X, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube or Naver. Each verified handle appears on your public profile.

The demo's step 3 says "verify at least one handle", while Hayes calls socials optional. The live rules may settle this. Separately, the official site links a KOL application form that asks about your channels, audience and languages. The form states that submitting it is not a guarantee of selection and does not entitle anyone to tokens or rewards.

What we don't know yet

  • Launch date. The preview gives none.
  • Pool size. The weekly pool is "to be announced".
  • Anti-farming rules. None are published. The only signals in the preview are verified social handles and payouts tied to "certified work" rather than raw sign-ups.
  • The token itself. FLOP hasn't launched. The network is on devnet, and our testnet tracker covers what comes next.

Stay safe

There is no FLOP to claim today. Any "claim now" page, presale or "KOL bonus" asking you to connect a wallet or send funds should be treated as a scam. Look for the program only through flop.finance and @flop_labs. Tokens with FLOP-like names on launchpads are not Flop Labs tokens. See our scam guide and the airdrop hub for how FLOP distribution is expected to work, and what is FLOP for the basics.
